This renovation of the historical Brown Building/Triangle Shirt Waist factory in the heart of NYU’s Manhattan campus consists of upgrades to existing lab space.
The renovation was a complete demolition and rebuild of the laboratory space with a dedicated mechanical system and dedicated fans for fume hood exhaust systems. The scope of work included installation of fume hoods and biosafety cabinets. As a part of NYU’s Chemical Biology Initiative, which aims to develop expertise in Cancer Chemical Biology, Chemical Neuroscience, and Molecular Spectroscopy and Imaging, this space will be utilized for research and collaboration between specified departments.
