It’s personal

Safety depends on passionate, accountable people—from the jobsite to the executive office to the computer lab—who live and breathe safety every day.

Our COVID-19 response
In this difficult time, the safety of our employees and trade partners on our project sites is our most important priority. We have implemented strict protocols and standard operating procedures on jobsites and are following Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines. On all our jobsites, we are fostering open dialogue and encouraging trade partners to communicate all safety concerns to their foremen so they can be immediately addressed.

We see with a 360-degree approach
Our proven method combines an emergency preparedness plan, protections for the public, trade partner training and safety, and jobsite cleanliness. These components are the building blocks of our strong safety culture.

We lead the way
Thinking about safety through a different lens starts at the top: our senior leaders invest time and resources in the most advanced technologies and equipment, but they also empower each employee to feel responsible for creating our safety culture.

We watch out for each other
We want every employee and trade partner to feel that they are part of a common good and cohesive team. We help our teams form stronger relationships with trade partners by emphasizing people and teamwork over processes and checklists.
Our awards

Predicting incidents before they can happen
With safety as a top priority, combined with our unwillingness to settle for the status quo, Suffolk is constantly exploring ways to ensure everyone goes home safely. That’s why we’re partnering with Boston-area startup SmartVid.io on new frontiers for RiskX, our proprietary safety application.
“They have my back, and I have theirs.”

Our people are dedicated to finding solutions to every challenge. That spirit makes for some great stories.
