Suffolk was selected to provide construction management services for site improvements at the University of California, San Francisco Parnassus Campus.
The design for this project initiates a phased transformation of the Parnassus Heights Campus, creating a unified space where community is nurtured, human connections are enhanced, essential infrastructure is integrated, and natural ecologies thrive. This project represents a significant step towards actualizing a campus-wide vision, focusing on enhancing utility, service, and pedestrian pathways.
The scope includes the demolition of the School of Nursing building and CSSB basement, with limited disruption to campus occupants and visitors. Our team will then improve the unities and infrastructure to support the surrounding buildings. Finally our team will create a new landscaped pedestrian connection between the PRAB promenade and Saunders Court, the heart of campus.
This project is a true design-build collaboration, and our team sits at UCSF's Integrated Center For Design And Construction "big room" to facilitate collaboration between ourselves, the architect LMSa, and the landscape architect Scape.
