Suffolk is completing extensive renovations and additions to both the airside and landside of the Terminal C to B Connector area at Logan International Airport.
The updates will not only enhance passengers’ experiences, but also improve Logan’s operational efficiency. The project scope consists of renovations to existing Terminal C Pier D space, a three-level addition to the Terminal C Pier D, new and renovated administrative offices, upgrades to the Terminal C passenger security checkpoint, and demolition of the seven-story old tower structure.
Additionally, pedestrian connections will be made between multiple gates, while a new gate will expand capacity. Other improvements, including new amenities, will be added post-security to accommodate passengers traveling through Logan.
Project challenges include completing work on an active airport site surrounded by highly trafficked terminal roadways, the central parking garage, aircraft apron and operations area, control towers and the existing chapel.
This entire project will require immaculate coordination and a commitment to safety.
