Located within their expansive Quincy, Washington campus, this project features critical upgrades to one of Verizon’s active data halls.
This fit-out will increase the facility’s computing power by an additional 1.8 MW, all while maintaining the current operations and IT workloads. Essential upgrades will also be made to the Network Room in order to maintain operations with the additional capacity. During the course of work, electrical shutdowns will be executed on a daily basis without disruption to the IT load. Suffolk’s careful planning and development of Methods of Procedures (MOPs) will be absolutely essential to the success of this project. This will be the first major upgrade to be completed at Verizon’s original and largest campus in over five years. The enhanced space will support popular applications such as Tumblr, Yahoo News, Yahoo Sports, and Yahoo Finance.
