Sebastian River Medical Center

Expansion and Renovation - Sebastian, FL

    Project Overview

This project included a new three-story patient tower with three-story tie-ins to the existing hospital.

The first floor includes a new main entry drop-off canopy and lobby, a surgery suite with six ORs, and support spaces. The support spaces include a new sterile processing department comprised of decontamination and clean supply, staff/doctor locker rooms and lounges, and PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) /PreOP (pre operation) bays. The second and third floor each have 24 private med/surgery rooms, patient rooms, support areas including medication rooms, two nurse stations, and training and multi-purpose rooms. Enabling work involved relocation of utilities under the new footprint, renovation of existing spaces at tie-ins to the new addition. And the final phase of this project included decommissioning the old OR’s, PACU and PreOp spaces, and building a new morgue.
