Suffolk completed the construction of the Fort Myer Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) development located at historic Fort Myer, Virginia.
This design-build project was our first award under the Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) and followed an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach to ensure that soldiers are provided with quality housing. Located adjacent to Arlington National Park, the new three-story structure, totaling nearly 80,000 square feet, accommodates 216 soldiers in 108 shared two-person dwelling suites. The housing development included private sleeping areas, walk-in closets, shared bathrooms, kitchenettes, laundry facilities, and other amenities. The project utilized BuildingbInformation Modeling (BIM) software for the entire design process, reducing delays in construction, and minimizing unforeseen costs.
