Suffolk managed multiple IFOA (Integrated Form Of Agreement) projects for Amgen at Binney Street in Cambridge, MA.
The overall project was comprised of a comprehensive three-year site redevelopment plan to renovate seven floors of the Amgen building into highly flexible next generation laboratories, lab support areas, and office space. Each floor plate is approximately 29,000 square feet. The scope also includes the installation of 500 disposable technology-based pilot development labs.The current structure is an eight-story building dedicated to R&D operations with a central utility plant in the basement, utility penthouse, and roof with cooling towers and strobic fan system. Floor One is a combination of conferencing facility laboratory and open space. Floors two, three, four, and seven are a combination of conventional office and lab spaces.
