    Project Overview

    This mixed-use project is broken into two parts and provides additional office space, labs, and community gathering areas in the Fenway neighborhood while preserving the architectural integrity of the historic 1929 Landmark Center building.

    The first portion of this project involves extensive enabling work as well as renovations to the existing garage. It also includes selective demolition, installation of deep pile foundations, and construction of vehicle ramps. Part one also involves minor movie theater renovations and associated MEP/FP relocations within the garage.

    Part two includes the construction of a new 14-story, 550,500 square-foot core and shell lab & research / office building. The structural steel and concrete structure with a unitized curtain-wall façade is founded on a high capacity mini-pile foundation. The first four floors of the structure are connected to the existing building and cantilever over the existing building above the fourth floor.
