Favorite Project
My favorite project is the Evermont project in South L.A. As my first project with Suffolk, serving as a Project Executive, it marked a significant milestones and a unique challenge. The project had initially been awarded to a competitor; undeterred, I worked to gain the client’s trust. Through strategic negotiations, I successfully brought the project back to Suffolk. Securing such a critical project within a short timeframe was a defining achievement. Evermont taught me valuable lessons in persistence, negotiation and project management.
Sector Experience
Over the past 17 years, my professional focus has centered on estimating and preconstruction. During this time, I’ve gained extensive expertise in these areas across various sectors: Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality. Prior to this 17-year period, I began my career in Greece, where I worked on heavy civil projects for a decade. This foundational experience provided me with a solid understanding of construction processes, project management and the importance of precision in estimating. Overall, my journey has been a blend of diverse projects, continuous learning and a passion for delivering successful outcomes.
What is the most exciting thing about working in this business?
Negotiations and relationships, especially being engaged in high-stakes negotiations with clients, stakeholders and business partners. Building and maintaining professional relationships is both challenging and rewarding.
What is your professional passion?
I find immense fulfillment in mentoring and empowering my team. Guiding them, fostering their growth and instilling confidence in their abilities ignites my professional fire. Witnessing their progress and celebrating their achievements becomes a source of pride.
