Suffolk completed the renovation and expansion of the Karp 3 and 4 ARCH Facility at Boston Children’s Hospital.
This 25,000 square-foot, multi-phased project included work on an animal research facility, as well as structural modifications and accommodations for the facility’s tunnel washer on the third floor. Additional laboratory and behavioral animal research space expansions took place on the fourth floor.
The facility remained fully operational during the renovation and expansion. Noise, dust, and vibration mitigation was essential throughout all phases of this project as research continued to be performed in surrounding departments. The success of this project was due to the ability of our team to communicate effectively and consistently with the client to ensure minimal impact on all hospital operations.
The hospital is a long-standing client of our firm, and our teams are dedicated to the operational enhancements of the organization. This project in particular marks an important milestone for the hospital’s research and development mission.
