Suffolk managed construction of this 493-bed, apartment-style dormitory for Massachusetts College of Art and Design. The 21-story, 493-bed residence hall added 145,000 square feet of dormitory and facility space, and marked a significant step in the multi-stage development of the MassArt campus. The student housing facility, which allows the college to double its housing capacity and guarantee housing to all first- and second-year students, is the first Lean Construction project in the City of Boston. By using the Last Planner System, the project team made up an impressive thirteen weeks in the construction schedule.
