Suffolk was selected to rebuild the new Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum site after the original facility suffered extensive fire damage. Construction consisted of a Bridge House structure on a fixed platform supported by pilings, a retail store, restrooms, storage, two re-enactment pre-show areas and offices, and a pile-head floating barge housing a museum on the first floor and a Tavern/Tea Room on the second. More than fifty percent of the building construction took place off barges on the water.
