Thompson Hollywood Hotel Awarded ‘Best Commercial Project’ at Pacific Coast Builder Conference’s Gold Nugget Awards

Suffolk’s hospitality project was awarded for its design out of nearly 600 applicants spanning over 50 building categories

LOS ANGELES--()--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, today announced that their hospitality construction build, Thompson Hollywood, was recognized as a winner of the ‘Best Commercial Project’ category at the Pacific Coast Builder Conference (PCBC) annual Gold Nugget Awards. The annual awards are judged by a panel of top industry experts, who select projects with the most exciting trends in design, planning and building. Thompson Hollywood was chosen from nearly 600 applicants spanning over 50 building categories for its merit award due to its outstanding design.

“Our Suffolk team worked diligently to ensure the developers’ vision for Thompson Hollywood was brought to life, from the design phase to project completion,” said Jim Stanley, Chief Operating Officer of Suffolk Los Angeles. “It’s an honor to see the fruits of our collaboration recognized by PCBC and industry experts for the value this unique hotel brings to the Hollywood community.”

Owned by Relevant Group and designed by Steinberg Hart, Thompson Hollywood brings a refined glamour to the heart of Hollywood. Rising eleven stories over Sunset Boulevard with 190 guest rooms and 16 suites, the boutique hotel offers high-end amenities such as a rooftop swimming pool and deck with sweeping views of Los Angeles and multiple world-class culinary destinations. Thompson Hollywood is adjacent to Tommie Hollywood, another Relevant Group and Suffolk collaboration, which together create a 375,000-square-foot boutique hotel duo that lights up West Hollywood with shops, nightlife, restaurants and guest rooms – all within walking distance of popular attractions and sights.

Construction of Thompson Hollywood began in January 2018, leveraging Suffolk’s innovative arsenal of technology and solution-driven collaboration to bring the project vision to life. Suffolk continues its award-winning work within the hospitality sector with several other projects currently under in construction, including ‘Fig + Pico,’ a 37-story mixed-use development across from the Los Angeles Convention Center that will feature two hotels.
