Enhancing safety and functionality at a National Guard facility

Jamaica Armory

Suffolk completed the modernization and expansion of The Jamaica Armory, located in Queens and used by the New York Army National Guard. This 240,000-square-foot project replaced outdated mechanical systems and eliminated old environmental and safety hazards. Construction included upgrades to the armory’s gas, electric, sewer, water, and communication utilities, in addition to a new roofing system and an emergency generator. Suffolk installed new security cameras to bolster security measures and controlled access.
