What is the most exciting thing about working in this business? What is your professional passion?
The most exciting thing to me is the great people we get to work with.
What do you love to do when you aren’t at work? What is your personal passion and why?
My passion is my family. I love spending time with my wife, Heather, and my 4 kids. I especially love coaching the kids in sports and encouraging their interests as much as I can.
What was your favorite family experience?
I love traveling with my family. Last summer, we took an incredible trip to France together.
Who is/was your favorite person you ever worked with and why?
I have been lucky enough to have worked with Jim McCoy for my entire Suffolk career. He is incredibly smart and cares very deeply about what he does.
What innovation have you seen in the construction industry that has made the most impact? Where do you see the opportunity for further innovation?
The evolution of 3D modeling has been very cool and there is still so much opportunity to use the model in a much larger capacity. Our Plan & Control process is also very exciting and at the forefront of a new way of thinking.
What sport did you play and how did it help you professionally?
I played soccer, basketball, and golf but I think what really helps me professionally is coaching my kid’s sports teams. I really enjoy motivating a group of kids, all with unique skill sets, to do their best. Helping them grow into a true team is awesome.
If you could have lunch with someone, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
I can’t limit it to just one person, or to just a lunch, because I would throw a big party with my entire family -the ones who have passed and those still here. My wife’s mother passed before my kids were born – imagine if I could introduce them to her or to my grandparents. The band would be awesome!!
